           The ‘Binder Winder’ is a two handle device manufactured to insert into the holes in the binder used to tighten load straps on a flatbed trailer commonly used today. It is designed for rolling the strap around the binder spool for transport when the trailer is not loaded and the load straps are not being used. Before the introduction of the binder winder, winding the strap on the storable binders was done by hand, consuming a lot of time and energy in the process, especially for truck drivers that have several loads to deliver each day.

         The short end as seen in the picture above inserts in the binder tightening holes for quick winding of the strap around the spool of a storable binder commonly used today on sliding trailer rails. The extended end of the device can be inserted in the next sliding ratchet for ease of operation or can be used for winding fixed binders from the opposite end when the binder is close to an obstructing object such as a tire or near the end of the trailer, etc.
